Dr. Jart+ partnered with Opening Ceremony for the showing of the brand’s FW ’16 collection to restore the models’ natural glow and prep their skin for the radiant look the designers envisioned.
First, the Dermaclear Micro Milk Peel (launched September 2016) was applied to remove impurities while smoothing out texture to revive skin. Next, an assortment of the Prescriptment Masks were applied to the models’ faces and left on for 5 minutes to replenish moizturization, shrink pores, reduce blackheads, and brighten, tighten and contour skin. For soothing and repairing of any tired and wounded skin, the new Cicapair Tiger Grass Cream (launched September 2016) was applied to the skin. Lastly, the Liftra Shaper was rolled on the face to help lift any saggy and droopy facial lines and to reduce any appearance of swelling of the face.

Designer Direction/Hair Inspiration: Graphic lines were created at the hairline to complement the designs in the collection.
“There are some really cool designs pieced out on the clothing. The hair design in the front really plays off that.” said lead stylist Holli Smith for Bumble and bumble.
Styling Methods: Create a super sharp, triangular section at the front and pull hair back using Thickening Hairspray and Surf Spray. Create a loose, sporty bun in the back and finish with Does It All.

Makeup
Yadim for Maybelline New York took inspiration from the beauty pageant themed, politically charged Opening Ceremony FW 2016 show to create a deconstructed version of a traditional pageant girl for each runway look. “The show combines celebrities and models and some satire in the performance, so we wanted the makeup to be a simplistic version of what pageant makeup would be,” Yadim says.
