When you combine architecture with luscious fashion you get Thrive Los Angeles. Created by technology innovators Rob Meadows and Ali Shahriyari under the creative direction of Royal Academy of Fine Arts graduate Cem Cako, Thrive Los Angeles crafts it's unique designs by combining Belgian concepts with LA trends. Each article of clothing is artfully conceptualized through custom prints, hand draping and emphasis on form. The AW11 collection, The Beauty of Friction, was inspired by the contrast of past and future technology, focusing on hardware, power and size, as well as the intangible ever-presence of cloud data. A mixture of tailored silhouettes and chic outerwear, the AW11 collection creates an image of feminine power that capitalizes on lambskin, silk, wool and a black and rose-driven palette.
